About
I’m Chad Buzek, a fine-art portrait photographer based in Nebraska.
My work is built around presence — the kind of portrait that feels quiet at first, then stays with you. I’m drawn to faces, expression, restraint, and the emotional weight a single image can carry when everything unnecessary is removed.
I create portraits for individuals, families, and professionals who want something more lasting than a standard photograph. The goal is not to make people look polished or artificial, but to create images that feel honest, powerful, and deeply human.
The Work
My portraits are defined by sculpted light, careful direction, and intentional simplicity. Every decision — expression, composition, tone, contrast, and finish — is made to serve the final image.
The work is quiet, direct, and emotionally restrained. It is portraiture made to hold attention without needing to explain itself.
Recognition
Chad’s work has received recognition from respected photographers and industry professionals within the portrait and fine-art photography world.
His portraits have been selected and used by Profoto as part of its international Share the Light campaign, placing his work alongside leading photographers from around the world.
While that recognition is meaningful, the work itself remains personal: a search for dignity, character, and emotional truth in the people he photographs.
Commissions
Private portrait commissions are accepted on a limited basis.
Each commission begins with a conversation about who is being photographed, why the portrait matters, and what kind of finished work will best serve its purpose.
